NOVEMBER UPDATE

Jill's General Blog
Up until I have been blogging at hamptons.com. I am on hiatus until next year so I will pick it back up right here! We finished filming Season 2 and am finally trying to recover. Unfortunately my Dad is sick and needs surgery tomorrow. I will be with my mom, sister and family in Connecticut during his recover. The Dr.'s say he will be fine but surgery is still surgery. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and so is my birthday! I can't even summon the numbers in my age anymore. I still feel 13! The entire Zarin side of my family is going on a cruise from Florida. We are 35 people and we are all very excited! After the cruise we have 6 trips planned thru March. A wedding in Florida, holidays in Florida then Caribbean, Sundance Film Festival, and Vegas and CA in February. At the same time Ally and I are trying to organize trips to colleges during Feb break and Spring break for 2 weeks. I actually and looking forward to being with Ally the most. Ally and I are in a great place right now and she is blossoming before my eyes. She just turned 16. We bought her an amazing professional camera as she is leading toward fine arts and photography as a specialty. She has been trying to drag me to every museum and gallery in NYC. I have such a sense o pride watching her excitement of seeing the world through art. Bobby is my rock and soul mate..what else can I say. He lets me be me. I recently met NeNe from Atlanta. I just adore her. We are so different on the outside ( I tortured her about wearing a bra) but are we different on the inside. Sure..we grew up worlds apart..but the love for our child(ren) and husbands AND friends is obvious and infectious. I am looking forward to seeing her again. As for the other "ladies" on my show...you will have to wait and "see what happens". Though if you visit me on facebook...I have some new pictures there. I also started twitter.com. I am not very good at keeping it up to date yet..but if enough people want to follow me..let me know and I will do a better job. Last...I have discovered a new website I LOVE called www.chictini.com. I will be uploading more items there to get your opinion on my clothes but for now I uploaded some TEAM JILL shirts. The Chicsters seem to love them. That's all for now...Love, Jill

Oh What a night!

Jill's General Blog
I normally don't blog at the end of the night but this is an exception. I had one of the best nights tonight with my family. Where do I start? Our driver from 7 years ago came back into our lives. His name is Wayne. He is a bodyguard/driver and his partner Steve is an ex military Special Operations. They both picked up Ally and I in our Black SUV and drove us to the premiere of HBO's ENTOURAGE. ( Ally was dying to go!) We picked up our tickets at WILL CALL ( fancy Black with holgrams and green plastic bands for afterparty) and walked the red carpet with Jeromy Piven, Jamie Lee Siglier, Bethenny Frankel ( yes..my friend and co star) and lots of other celebs. We were interviewed and photographed for 30 minutes. After sitting Allyson Shapiro with Bethenny Frankel and Lori Levine..I left with Steve following me, to find Bobby. I met up with Wayne and Bobby at the Valentino party. Another long red carpet in front of us..we talked to lots of press including Jeff Slonim ( who I love!) and walked right into Valentino! Tan, trim and elegant...we talked for few minutes. I ran into Simon and Alex McCord Van Kempen. Joking that is was great to see them ( in clothes!) I thought they both looked fresh and rested.Alex wore Roberto Cavalli( surprised?) from guess where? St Barts! She wore a stunning black gown. then I ran into Ramona and Mario. I had a chance to sit with Liv Tyler ( pretty in pink) who then sat with Allen Cummings. When Valentino sat in the VIP area...Wayne was able to get us past the security surrounding him. Then I ran into Rachel Zoe ( yes..of the new Bravo show titled Rachel Zoe!) who invited us to her premiere party tomorrow night. Good for her! The last celeb sighting was Vivica A. Fox. She remembered me when I reminded her we sat together at last season's fashion show for Kimora Lee Simmons at Roseland. I was introduced to her by a mutual friend Lisa Raye McCoy, the first lady of Turks and Caicos. She told me she would be on Conan tonight ( which I am watching as I type this) and Kelly and Regis tomorrow morning. Vivica A Fox is promoting her new reality show. Someone told me there would be a Gossip Girl party on the rooftop of the Empire Hotel. Originally I was going home..but now I had a parental obligation to tell Allyson about this party. Of course she wanted to go..so we picked up out gift bag from Samsung ( they were the sponsors of the Valentino event) and hopped into the Escalade to pick up Ally on the way to the Empire. We had an extra car and driver following us in case we needed more seats sp we sent him to pick up Bethenny ( who had already left the Ziegfeld premiere) and bring her to the Entourage after party at mansion. We went to the Empire and met Tinsley Mortimer ( I took a picture of Ally and Tinsley) and had a few more pictures taken. We stayed 30 minutes and then jumped into the Escalade again to head off to Mansion. Wayne paved the way for us to enter and there must have been 500 people there? We headed upstairs to find Bethenny and ran in to Leighton Meister. I intoduced myself and found out she is a fan of our show and in fact watched a 7 hour marathon. Of course I took more pictures and talked about a walk on roll on Gossip GIrl. She was so nice and invited Ally to the set. We saw lots of cast members from the Soprano's including Jamie Lee Stiegler and some minor but memorable actors from the show. Then..Wayne did it again! Ally wanted to meet Jermony Piven but couldn't get near him. Of course..Wayne drives for him too! So Wayne was able to ask him to take a picture with Ally and then we ran into a few other actors from Entourage. Bethenny..meanwhile..was having a great night too. And then..since nothing good happens after midnight...we came home. Tomorrow is another day.....

We found something!

CHOCOLATE..yes chocolate. Go to www.jillzarinchocolate.com for information. Ally says it works...Bobby loves the cookie for breakfast..and I feel great ( and like the fact that I can eat 3-5 pieces a day with permission and not get fat!). Yes..this is multilevel marketing...BUT..if it works...who cares? Ally tried Mon Avie and said it tasted aweful that she never got the full effect. One glass of the chocolate drink it the same at 2 1/2 glasses of Mon Avie is what they told us. So....we would rather drink chocolate no? If you want some samples...email me ! Jill and Ally

Bobby and I are traveling on the Seaborne Ship to Greece this week. We just left Delphi and are on our way to Mikonos. We are members of Exclusive Resorts and this is one of the Once in a Lifetime Trips they offer. We have met many new people on the trip and are having a wonderful time. the weather is perfect. The sun is HOT but the air comfortable when in the shade. We went to see the ruins today in Delphi where Apollo lived and many of the mythology stories started. Tomorrow we see Santorini, then Friday Mikonos and we arrive in Athens on Saturday. Ally is home from Paris and I can't wait to see her.

July Weekend Update!

Jill's General Blog
Friday night we went to a friends birthday dinner followed by a "drive by" at Pink Elephant. We met lots of cute girls for Bobby's son and his friends, danced, and then departed. Saturday, Bobby and I went to opening day of Polo in Bridgehampton and I took Sarah Erhrlich with me to hand out invitations for our 2nd Annual Help for Orphans Benefit this Friday, July 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Nova's Ark. (To buy tickets go to hamptonsbenefit.com. Prices are $150 in advance and $200 at the door). There will be cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and a wonderful Art Auction and Silent Auction. We are raising money to build a vocational school in Kenya for a village that Sarah has been helping for two years. Last year we raised enough money to build a 10-room schoolhouse that will break ground this August.
Saturday night, Bobby and I went to Russell Simmons’ charity event, Art for Life. The decor was outstanding with people dressed as trees and plants and the dress code was purple. Thank goodness I had something in my closet. I try to respect dress codes when people go to the effort to design the decor around it. The highlight for me was sitting in the Maybach that was on display. I love that car!! So, who was there? We met Governor Paterson (New York's new Governor!) and I was so impressed. He was funny, warm, and approachable, not your typical politician with the standard one-liners and classic lines you would expect. He shared stories with us and would have told more but they pulled him away to sit down for the start of the program. I met Gayle King, saw P. Diddy and his mom who is always charming, Al Roker, and Aretha Franklin (we waited until the program ended hoping she would surprise the audience and sing but no such luck). My friend Marilyn Crawford was there too so we had a chance to catch up.
Though we had a few offers for more parties on the beach Sunday, we chose to BBQ at home with the family and do the midnight run back to the city.
